Chestnut Mountain Christian Academy

... is an elementary school with the purpose of providing a quality Christian education to our students. Originally established in 2001 as Trinity Day School, the name was changed to Chestnut Mountain Christian Academy in January 2010.

We offer a half-day Kindergarten program and the elementary grades of first through fifth. Our maximum student ratio is 16:1. Our staff has a combined teaching of over 120 years! As a staff, our desire is to equip and encourage children to grow in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as to be a light to the world in which they live.

Statement of Faith

• We believe that there is only one God, and that He eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-2; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:9)
• We believe the Bible is the plenary and inspired, and only infallible, authoritative, and innerant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
• We believe that Jesus Christ is God (John 10:33, 14:9)
  • in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35)
  • in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26)
  • in His miracles (John 2:11)
  • in His substitutionary and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9)
  • in His bodily resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4)
  • in His ascension to His rightful place at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; 1 Timothy 3:16) and
  • in His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11)
• We believe that man was created in the image of God, sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death for all mankind. (Genesis 1:27; 1 Corinthians 15:21)
• We believe that all are therefore born with a sinful nature, and taht salvation comes only through the repentance of sin and the acceptance of the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins, Our justification comes only by God's grace and through faith in Christ alone. (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Romans 8:9-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19020; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18)
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and the that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:5-15)
• We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 17:20-23; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; Galations 3:26-28)
